Meet the Camp Northpoint Director,

Jason Brannigan

Jason joined the YMCA fresh out of St. John Fisher College in 2007. With a degree in Sports Management he started off in sports programming at the Bay View Family YMCA. He then moved onto Camp Bay View, starting as a Unit Leader and working his way to Camp Director. As the Sports & Camp Director, Jason celebrated much success at Bay View, and attributes that success to building a staff team that could cultivate the relationships necessary to support a camp of 500+ children per day.

In February of 2015, Jason ventured to Harris Communications where he worked in Government Transportation and Purchasing. While he loved his time there he found himself missing the day to day mission work and ability to positively impact the community. In March of 2018, Jason seized the opportunity to return to the YMCA, and accepted the role of Senior Director of Camping & Youth Development.

With his first summer under his belt at Camp Northpoint he is excited for what the summer of 2019 will bring!

Do you work hard and play hard?

Want to have a rewarding but fun job this spring and summer?

We’re looking for a few good balancing acts!

Summer Camp Counselors:
Are you a leader that can balance a fun-filled summer and leading some great kids?  We’re searching for counselors at YMCA Camp Northpoint who can balance long, hectic days with the responsibility of making a difference in children’s lives.

As a counselor, you’re always on stage, helping campers, setting an example, teaching, and playing games. Our campers have a busy schedule of activities throughout long summer days, and you will need to be on top of it – from planning activities to making sure the campers are where they need to be to leading games. You can bring your own special talent, whether it is swimming, sports, archery, music, or dancing. You’ll need a desire to teach others and the energy and attention to detail necessary to make a busy camp schedule work. We’ll teach you everything else you need to know.
