Jason joined the YMCA fresh out of St. John Fisher College in 2007. With a degree in Sports Management he started off in sports programming at the Bay View Family YMCA. He then moved onto Camp Bay View, starting as a Unit Leader and working his way to Camp Director. As the Sports & Camp Director, Jason celebrated much success at Bay View, and attributes that success to building a staff team that could cultivate the relationships necessary to support a camp of 500+ children per day.
In February of 2015, Jason ventured to Harris Communications where he worked in Government Transportation and Purchasing. While he loved his time there he found himself missing the day to day mission work and ability to positively impact the community. In March of 2018, Jason seized the opportunity to return to the YMCA, and accepted the role of Senior Director of Camping & Youth Development.
With his first summer under his belt at Camp Northpoint he is excited for what the summer of 2019 will bring!
Jordan originally joined the YMCA CNP staff team in 2013 as a sports camp counselor. Over the years she has held various positions at CNP, including Unit Director, STEM Specialist, Programming and Special Event Specialist, and last year worked her first year as CNP’s Assistant Director. Jordan earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education from SUNY Potsdam in 2017 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Potsdam as well.
Jordan is also the Head Coach of the SUNY Potsdam softball team and a volunteer coach for the women’s hockey team. She also serves as Potsdam’s Assistant Sports Information Director throughout the year. She loves being involved in athletics and continuing her involvement in sports now that her playing days are over.
Jordan loves spending her summers close to home working at CNP. She is excited for the chance to return for her second summer as Assistant Director and see some familiar faces back for more fun!
